Also, the app in question DOES NOT HAVE a task bar handle, which means you can't bring focus to that application normally.

In any case, your suggestion doesn't even work in the normal situation, which suggests to me that you have a 3rd party tool installed which does this.

Oh, and Moody, you can't just add a second monitor at home. Remote desktop doesn't work like that.

Sorry guys, the solution I posted is the only native XP way to do this, bar none.DewKidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13951494338358566076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066546.post-37134383925824411802013-02-28T08:53:46.803-08:002013-02-28T08:53:46.803-08:00SHIFT ALT LEFT/RIGHT SWITCHES WINDOW FROM ONE MONI...SHIFT ALT LEFT/RIGHT SWITCHES WINDOW FROM ONE MONITOR TO THE OTHER
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066546.post-76776868736013905932011-07-06T22:18:04.049-07:002011-07-06T22:18:04.049-07:00Awesome. I normally operate this notebook in a docking station with two large monitors, but when I bring it home, I just have the small built-in screen. The window I needed to move actually had a taskbar button so I was able to use the first method you documented to move the window onto my screen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066546.post-40414334281405828712008-10-26T06:19:00.000-07:002008-10-26T06:19:00.000-07:00Why not just add a second monitor to the home comp...Why not just add a second monitor to the home computer?

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!The Moody Minstrelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16342935635794595909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066546.post-48458200294630402522008-10-25T09:26:00.000-07:002008-10-25T09:26:00.000-07:00It took me a second to realize that you were talki...It took me a second to realize that you were talking about using the same computer here. In my case, my work computer is a desktop machine, and I'm using "Remote Desktop" to access it from home. (I guess I wasn't very clear about that in my post.) Anyway, if I forget to move windows off my second monitor before going home, I end up with this problem. Since I live an hour drive away from work, it's a real problem!DewKidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13951494338358566076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8066546.post-33456517871048318432008-10-25T08:32:00.000-07:002008-10-25T08:32:00.000-07:00I do the same dual to single monitor thing, but I ...I do the same dual to single monitor thing, but I usually don't sleep or hibernate the laptop so my Windows generally appear on the main screen.

I like the keystroke magic though. I am going to remember that combo because I foresee the same thing happening to me at some point.Don Snabulushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05911180639753508627noreply@blogger.com
