Love that Rubberband Man

I don't know what it is - the music, the hair, or just his sense of office style. The Rubberband Man is always there to make sure you are properly supplied, and ready for the day. Office Max has a winner with this ad campaign. For some reason, these ads make me feel good, and I'm often up on my feet to join the Rubberband Man on his quest to bring rulers, pencils, and erasers to all the schoolchildren and cubicle workers everywhere.

Hey 'yall, prepare yourself for the Rubberband Man!

So.........who sang the Rubberband Man song?

Why, the Spinners of course! I believe it was a hit in 1975... something like that.

I remember their song "Games People Play." I remember hearing their songs on KEX when I was a kid. The top 9 at 9. Not much music there anymore...sigh. Good stuff, that.

Now that the commercial finally loaded, it was cool. I like the replacement selections. It was cooooooooo. So was the hair.

By the way, this post serves 2 purposes. One is to say that I watched the video earlier today, not at 11:2-whatever the last number was PM.

Two, I like seeing high comment numbers on your blog. :D

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I'm a poor, deprived ex-pat on the other side of the great, swelling ocean.

Hehehehehe...I said "swelling".

Sepulchral Voice:

Enter the Champion.

Prince By-Tor appears
to battle for freedom from chains of long years.

The spell has been broken;
the Dark Lands are bright.
The Wraith of the Necromancer soars away in the night."

Wise-mouth heckler:

Only until Snowdog comes back and mops up the River Styx with his black-armored posterior.

Hey...Styx appears in a Rush song! Who gets the royalties?
